1 Tbsp oil

½ cup finely chopped onion

1 1/3 cups hot soy milk

1 tsp marmite

1 tsp salt

½ cup seasoned breadcrumbs

1 cup gluten flour

¼ cup crushed walnuts or pecans


 Fry onion in oil a few minutes without browning. 

Add hot milk to dry breadcrumbs, nuts and onion. 

Allow to stand 20 minutes to swell crumbs.

Add gluten flour, mix to blend only (don’t beat).

Drop from big spoon into heated oil in a large pan.

Cook slowly, turning to brown.

Serve hot with tomato gravy and vegetables.
